Polaris ranger will turn over but won.
New to Polaris and EFI. Have 08 sportsman 800. Went to start this weekend and shen I turn the key and hold it turned the motor will crank once then pause, then will crank once and pause, znx do on. Only had the quad a couple months. I have always had yo hold the key over and it would always crank, pause, then start.

Aug 8, 2018 · 2016 RZR S 900 cranks but wont start. I recently got my rzr used ive rode it for about 3 weekends and last time i started it up it shut down within a minute. It now gives me a check engine light and cranks but wont start, it has a fresh oil change and spark plugs. I got a full tank, the fuel pump runs when I hit the key i even unplugged the ... 4. Took the Ranger on 2-3 mile 40mph cruise to try to get fresh fuel into it. 5. Starting cycling the fuel pump (key to first position but not cranking) twice before trying to start. 6. Added Battery Tender since voltage on dash display dipped to 10.8 or so when cranking (I really don't know if this is normal or not).
Reason 1: Weak or incorrect spark. Generally speaking the combustion reaction,won’t happen if your ATV has an improper or weak spark. Combustion reactions are what run your vehicle. Even if your Polaris sportsman cranks, a spark might not be strong enough to start. 2020 xp4 1000 won’t start. My rzr will crank but won’t start, I’ve checked spark, air, and fuel and all good... the odd thing is that on Saturday it ran perfectly fine when I loaded it up on trailer (other than broken rear axle). Got home that night and it was pouring rain so I left it sit out in trailer overnight.

If you have a charger, hook it up to the battery and turn it on and try to start it again. If it starts, you still have a weak battery. You have to find out when your spark plug is firing if it is firing when its top dead center magneto key should be fine but if not firing top dead center you have problem. Jump the solenoid or put power directly to the starter and see if it turns over then. If so then the solenoid is bad. Or measure the voltage at the starter with the start button engaged. now restarted polaris, it did die fully in about 2 seconds after starting it. gas is 3/4 fuel. i restarted again 2 more times and all sounded normal and correct. when i got home, restared 2 more times, no issues. it alweays ran …
Hello folks. I am new the forum and need some help. I bought a 2006 500 carb ranger. It all of the sudden stopped running while my father in law was driving it. It ran fine before. It cranks over fine, has compression, has spark. Or even a screwdriver in the end of the coil. Ground it on a piece of metal on the engine. Finally, have someone crank the engine and watch for a spark. If the pump doesn't run for about 3 seconds when you cycle the key on, then you need to find out why. Sometimes it's just a faulty relay or a bad connection. '04 Ranger had a weak battery and got a new one. Afterwards no start or warning lights that you usually get with switch on. The only thing that appears to be getting power is the fuel pump. Battery is hooked up properly and there is juice to the solenoid but nothing from the switch.If your engine’s not getting any spark, or getting weak spark, it won’t start at all.
